It overlooks the ocean up on a cliff and is the most quiet place I have ever been on this planet. Lovely. A fitting resting place for a woman who created a lot of noise in her time!MadamePnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7775910475089264257.post-67994157370135535282010-01-09T16:02:14.735-05:002010-01-09T16:02:14.735-05:00Oh yes. Women in the Highlands didn't dress like that, though there is a lot of evidence of wearing checked garments. She had herself painted like that to show her patriotism, as stated. The actual wearing of Tartan was banned from 1745 to 1780.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7775910475089264257.post-36138020828189535512010-01-08T07:39:19.738-05:002010-01-08T07:39:19.738-05:00It's a good story all around. Tarts of the week are just what you said, unconventional, and those who dare to do that which separates them from the average (and boring) 18th century woman. It takes a certain state of mind to hide princes and fight off pirates!Heather Carrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03544318718074061879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7775910475089264257.post-42316482178504463142010-01-08T04:07:23.785-05:002010-01-08T04:07:23.785-05:00Flora's not a tart!
