The Redcoats' Last Stand

With all the crappy American Revolution-themed commercials I keep seeing on my television (cough cough Citizens Bank) I was leery when this commercial came on.

But as you can see, it is a worthy 18th century-themed commercial. Enjoy!

  3. I saw this commercial for the first time at the gym today. I could not stop laughing. I bonded with the man next to me over it. Love it.

  4. I think it's the fact that the guy looks so much like Washington that makes it especially funny.

does anyone know the name of the fiddle tune that is being played at the beginning of the blurg?
I collect old music, and would love to play it on my cello!

  7. How about a car driven by George Washington? (I'm laughing out loud as I write this)

  8. It's meant to sound like the music Ken Burns used, but it isn't. I suspect it was composed for the commercial... after all, there's not much to it.

The best-remembered tune from the Civil War series was Ungar's "Ashokan Farewell."
