The newest strain on my wallet has been Juicy Couture's adorable charm bracelets. I fear I've exposed Lauren to my addiction as well, but that is what friends are for! They have such a unique and fun collection; you can put together a bracelet fit for a queen or duchess. In my shopping sessions I have noticed charms fit for an 18th century gossip girl: dice, cakes, ducal coronets, and fans. Perhaps one of the charms will bring me good luck on the faro table!

For Sale
Polonaise found a new ebay item for us all to drool over. This is a gorgeous mourning ring from the late 18th century that contains grief miniature. I'm curious to know where this is from because these mourning miniatures were popular in early America, specifically in the state of New York. They always contained a woman weeping under a (willow) tree and there was usually an urn in front of her, as there is with this fabulous and extravagant example. They were used to commemorate the death of a loved one. A museum I worked at had a great collection of these unique forms of mourning art so I am impressed to see one on ebay. I know the price seems hefty but it could actually be a steal!

Georgiana Approved?
Fashion forward reader, Kim, just sent me an email alerting me to some necklaces and bracelets from J Crew, dubbed 'Duchess," no doubt inspired by the film. Take a look!
Now, I suspect you know what comes next; do you think Georgiana would approve of this finery? Would it grace her ivory wrists and neck? Discuss.
I won't put my two cents in just yet, but this set looks to be more her style in my opinion!

It's Not Too Late to Add These to Your Christmas List
Warning to all jewelery aficionados who also just happen to come here for their other love of all things 18th century: this could be a deadly site I am presenting you. I stumbled Raven Eve's gothic jewelery site, Ghost, and I probably want just about everything. Her chokers are fantastic! My personal favorites would have to be The Ghost of Marie Antoinette (pictured) and Romeo is Bleeding. Do check out these amazing creations!
