Resolutions

I normally don't like making resolutions for the new year because they are just made to be broken. But this year I will give it a try. My resolutions for 2010 are:

Only gossip behind the shield of a fan (and blog).

Stop teasing the rakes.

Do you think I will be able to uphold them? I know I can manage at least one...

So what are your New Year resolutions?

  1. I prefer "intentions." Much more forgiving, not as if one marshals one's inner artillery unit.
My intention is to finish a novel that I've been working on since I spent an afternoon at a cafe in France four years ago. It has a band, a train wreck of a dissolution, tabloids, the bassist's ex fiance setting her wedding dress on fire at a press conference, and a greyhound rescue. I just need to get it done....

  2. One of mine was to read more history books--which would include the biographies of many famous ladies and gents of course ;) !

  3. I am resolved to get my finances in order (those gaming tables are troublesome), welcome and care for a new puppy, plan my impending nuptials, and eat more healthily.

I like New Years, any day is a good day to begin anew.

  4. To get three A's in finals so I can go to my preferred uni; to get up and walk; to finish my eighteenth century based novel; and find a rake of my own =p.

  5. 1) Get up earlier so I can get to work earlier, thus leave earlier and then not overcompensate by staying up too late.

    2) Work more on my sewing. I MUST have at least have stays by the start of the reenacting season (April) AND a bonnet. And I want gowns in time for the holiday season when all the balls happen.

  6. many, many.
Do more costuming, join a reenactment group, and go to Egypt to study the wildlife there. (my alter ego is a Naturalist)
