Fashion forward reader, Kim, just sent me an email alerting me to some necklaces and bracelets from J Crew, dubbed 'Duchess," no doubt inspired by the film. Take a look!
Now, I suspect you know what comes next; do you think Georgiana would approve of this finery? Would it grace her ivory wrists and neck? Discuss.
I won't put my two cents in just yet, but this set looks to be more her style in my opinion!
The bracelet is okay, I guess, but too stiff and graceless for my tastes. The necklace is a nay. Too much chain and it hangs too low. Not that I'm opinionated or anything!
ReplyDeleteHowever, the other bracelet with the grosgrain ribbons is just my cup of tea. $95 is too much (I'd have to cut back on books, the horror). Maybe it will grace eBay soon.
Haha I'm the same way, always crossing my fingers for ebay.
ReplyDeleteI think they are all dreadful, and I do hope she wouldn't have been interested in any of them!
ReplyDeleteI love the set you picked out- it's really beautiful, and I think also much more "duchessy".
ReplyDeleteI agree with Polonaise.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't quite my cup of tea either. But I would have to see them in person before I condemned them fully. Maybe they look better in person? I like the bracelet in the pinkish color but if I was to spend money it would be on the garnet set. I am enjoying that set!
ReplyDeleteThey actually look really pretty in person, but I balked at spending so much money. I expect Georgiana would go for either depending on what she was wearing. And maybe I'm influenced by the Coppola film, but the jewelled garland set looks more Marie Antoinette to me. :)
