Lounging in Poufs and Not Much Else

The ever-wonderful Fabultastic seems to agree with my proclamation of the pouf making its comeback.  His addition to the mounting evidence is this lovely fashion shoot by photographer John Wright.  I can't tell you much about the shoot but I have the sneaking suspicion it is for underwear. My particular favorite is the last one. The model's serpentine pose (so very classic in art) gracefully reveals the finer qualities of the furniture she rests upon.  The unusual warm-gray fabric of the renaissance painting above her allows the veiwer's eye to travel up from the model and end on the classical art reference.  I can't help but enjoy a photographic romp among ancien coiffures and modern lofts.

  3. Can't get enough modern poufs? Here is a similar photo shoot.

It is all fine and dandy but how can we get in on this style? I cant possibly go out with 'grey' hair now can I? And how does one pouf their own hair??? More details please~ If it is possible to wear casually I want to know!

  5. @Vic, Same here! Must be before the pillow fight since I would have one hair out of place then.

@Laura, KL, Anon, They are eye candy! I love the mix of old couture with new couture and the nods to art history (hence my little art analysis)

@Laur, I think we start with the pouf and move on to the powder once it catches on. I plan on using lots of teasing combs, aquanet, and hair fillers. Who knows what could/would be contained in my pouf. A wallet here lipgloss there.

By the way, I hope you do not mind me linking to your blog from my own (http://royalwomen.blogspot.com). If it is a problem, then I will of course take it away.
