More 18th Century Commercials

Blogging and waiting for your nails to dry at the same time is not a good idea, but I couldn't wait to pass this on. The lovely Johanna at 18th Century Blog just posted these icecream commercials which, strangely enough, could be clips from my daily routine! Enjoy them below and be sure to pop over and visit Johanna and thank her for putting the commercials on Youtube!

How amusing! The costumes looked good for a candy bar commercial, didn't they?

I love the costumes..don't you find the woman resembles the Monaco Royalty somehow (maybe Stephanie...?

There's something about chocolate and rococo that just magically go together!

Sorry Lucy, I'm not familiar with the Monaco royalty. I'm out of the loop!

I wish my daily routine was like that! Well I did have a fashionable "morning" this morning--I woke up at 12:30pm! which is extra bad as in the time zone where I've been for the last 9 months it was 1:30.

Anyway what cute commercials! I love the costumes! And the ice cream looks delicious!

Too fun! Now I want to see the video for Rock Me, Amadeus. I wish my day even remotely resembled her routine. I guess some of that ice cream will change all that.

I agree with Aileen that the costumes are good for a commercial. I've certainly seen 18c movies with worse. (The Clandestine Marriage with Joan Collins comes to mind.)

I know Johanna was suspicious whether they borrowed some of the costumes from the Marie Antoinette set

This has just started playing on Australian TV, though with english voiceovers. I thrill every time it comes on!

Beautiful costumes, I love whenever they have things like this in commercials.

Oh dear. I already know what will be the ice cream I'll choose this summer. Perhaps, if I'm lucky, an entire court will come after me and attend my every desire? I would be too amazed by their clothes to even pay attention to the ice cream then :-)
